What is JudokaFit?
JudokaFit is an exciting new concept in group fitness classes combining cardio and strength-based fitness exercises with Judo self-defense techniques. Judo athletes are considered among some of the fittest, however throwing and being thrown isn’t for everyone!
Therefore, JudokaFit is the best of both worlds; incorporating the fitness benefits of Judo into a class that accommodates a broad range of skill and fitness levels.
What Can I Expect at a JudokaFit Class?
Each 60-minute class starts with a fitness warm-up, followed by Judo demonstration, application exercises and ends with stretching and relaxation. The brief instructor/student demonstrations showcase the Judo techniques in action and the group exercises to follow will simulate those techniques but without the combative component.
JudokaFit is a fast-paced class, accompanied by music, lights and comradery! The Judo throwing and ground grappling techniques are broken down into easy to follow steps that will physically push students to their limits, resulting in a 600-1,200 calorie burn!
Classes involve a varied mix of calisthenics, body weight exercises, cardio, and strength training. We’ll keep you guessing with different challenges every class!

People of all fitness levels, ages, and sizes are welcome to join The Dojo’s JudokaFit Fitness Classes.
The group dynamic helps to motivate all the participants even though everyone is able to work at their own pace.
